Where can you buy a Nintendo Switch before Christmas?
It’s no surprise to anyone that Switch bundles during Black Friday are one of the most popular options for those shopping the sales. Interestingly, unlike previous years, these bundles have managed to maintain stock at only a few retailers – so they are still available at the time of writing. That means December is still a great time to buy a Nintendo Switch for yourself or as a gift.
Even in its seventh year on the market, the Switch has continued to see impressive first-party support with titles like Super Mario Bros. Wonder and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so there are still plenty of new games to play now if you pick one up. TL;DR – Where to buy a Nintendo Switch
Where to buy a Nintendo Switch OLED console
Nintendo Switch OLED is the premium model of the Nintendo Switch family. This console offers a larger OLED display that makes your favorite games come to life in handheld mode with pops of color. The $349 package includes a copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo Switch OLED with Joy-Con, and a three-month code for Nintendo Switch Online. That means a saving of roughly $67.98, making this one of the biggest deals of the holiday season, and one that should definitely be considered by anyone seeking a Switch (or even as a gift from Nintendo as well).
Nintendo Switch – OLED Model: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Bouquet

Where to buy Nintendo Switch
If you’re not overly concerned with the OLED model and its extra cost, there’s still a great deal on the standard Nintendo Switch. This special edition includes the Switch version, a Deluxe version of Mario Kart 8, and a three-month voucher for Nintendo Switch Online for just $299. This is a great deal and worth considering – otherwise we’ve also discussed the best place to buy a PS5 this Christmas too if you want to switch to something a little more modern.
Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bouquet
Includes Switch console, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (digital), and 3 individual months of Nintendo Switch Online.
What to look for in a Nintendo Switch
Will you be playing on mobile or installed?
The thing you should consider before purchasing is whether or not you will be playing in a portable or docked device or both. Depending on your answer, you may gravitate towards a particular Switch model. If you plan to use both modes, the best Switch device for you is the standard Nintendo Switch. On the other hand, if you think you won’t play the Switch on your TV, you should buy a Nintendo Switch Lite.
The Nintendo Switch OLED is where things get interesting since it’s a premium model. Overall, this is the option for you if you’re looking to get the most out of your Switch and its games. If you’re more inclined to play in handheld mode than Docked mode, the Switch OLED is a worthwhile option.
Do you want to play with friends?
If you want to play games locally with your friends, the Switch Lite is something you want to avoid. Its portable nature just doesn’t allow it to connect to a TV and dock. Additionally, the lack of a kickstand or Joy-Cons means it’s difficult to experience tabletop play for local multiplayer. Both the Switch and Switch OLED have the missing features mentioned above, so we recommend choosing one of these models if you want to play a local multiplayer game.
