Ouachi Plateau It has an average elevation of 60 to 90 meters and extends inland for about 32 kilometers off the coast. To the northeast of this plateau there is high ground ranging in height from 400 to 460 metres. The Mono River and its tributaries drain this area.

This northern savannah contains all kinds of exotic African wildlife and can be seen primarily in Lions National Park.

Ooty River The watershed consists of a sandstone plateau drained by the Oti River and its tributaries lie to the north of the Togo Mountains. The Dapaong Cliffs are located to the northwest. In the south, the landscape along the narrow coast is characterized by low, sandy beaches that give way to tidal flats and lagoons. As can be seen on the physical map above, Lake Togo is located in this region alongside the capital, Lomé.
