Let us know if you are one of the best
Is your company one of the best places to work? If so, USA TODAY wants to hear from you.
USA TODAY will recognize Quality Workplace Culture in Top Workplaces USA, a distinction honoring organizations that in 2024 are taking the lead in putting their people first.
Any organization with a workforce of at least 150 people is eligible for the award. Employees will make the decision and evaluate their workplace through a 24-question questionnaire. Organizations will be cleared until the end of November.
At a time when there are still more job opportunities than the number of workers filling them, designation as the best place to work can make a company or group a magnet for top talent, enhancing its performance and success.
“Few things are more important to most Americans than the work environment in which they spend so much time each day,” said Terrence Samuel, editor-in-chief of USA TODAY. “It can thrive both personally and professionally. Through this partnership, we have a unique opportunity to celebrate companies that have exceptional workplace cultures and that put people first.”
Energage, a Pennsylvania-based research firm that partners with USA TODAY, conducts surveys of the best workplaces for media in 65 markets across the United States and surveyed more than 2 million employees in more than 8,000 organizations last year.
To compete for the honor of 2024, here’s what you need to know:
How do I compete? Anyone can nominate any employer, whether it is a public, private, non-profit or government entity. To submit a nomination, go to https://usatoday.com/topworkplaces/nominate.
What is the deadline? The nomination deadline is November 10.
Are there fees? no. Participation is free, and if your organization wins, you will receive the coveted Top Workplaces USA badge.
When will the winners be announced? The winning organizations will be published in March 2024.
Why participate? A tight labor market means that companies have to compete to recruit and retain employees. Top Workplaces USA highlights companies that are committed to listening and focusing on their workforce.
Does telecommuting make a higher rating more important? Yes. An evolving work landscape where many are able to work from home means employees have options far and wide. A higher rating can make the organization more attractive.
Do customers care? Just as people want to work in companies that are positive and productive spaces, customers and shareholders want to connect with companies that reflect their values.
Who won in 2023? There were 1,272 winning workplaces in four groups of companies of different sizes.
