Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos: Game Predictions, Picks, and Odds
Let’s get to Mile High, as two AFC West teams try to turn around from disappointing 2022 seasons and make the playoffs.
It will be a fresh appearance for the Las Vegas Raiders, with Jimmy Garoppolo now under Josh McDaniels, and the team has gotten a huge boost with the return of Josh Jacobs to the team.
Nathaniel Hackett’s trial failed for the Denver Broncos, but they’re doing everything they can with in charge Sean Payton to help live up to the expectations set when quarterback Russell Wilson was hired. Both teams finished bottom of the AFC West standings, and a 1-0 start would be a huge step towards emerging from a strong division.

Lorenzo Reyes: Broncos 26, Raiders 21
Denver would undoubtedly do better with an experienced and focused coach like Sean Payton, though it might make sense to give him a few weeks before backing up the Broncos. However, Payton’s record with central midfielders should help Russell Wilson play more fluidly. And although Jimmy Garoppolo should be quite comfortable on offense – given his experience playing under Josh McDaniels – the Raiders have been hugely disappointing under McDaniels.
Tyler Dragon: Broncos 20, Raiders 17
A battle between the two worst teams in West Asia since a season ago. The winner of this game will have a head start as they try to keep up with the Chiefs and Chargers. The pressure is on Sean Payton to revitalize the Broncos after his talk of the season.
Victoria Hernandez: Broncos 21, Raiders 19
The Broncos will pretend that what happened last year didn’t happen, but we all know it did. Playing at home gives Denver the advantage and Sean Payton will probably make Russell Wilson productive again, but don’t expect it to be a blowout and I wouldn’t be too confident they can cover the spread.
Jordan Mendoza: Raiders 24, Broncos 23
Two teams looking to forget last season are level on the field and the game remains close. While Denver has a new coach with high expectations, the Raiders still have Josh Jacobs in the backfield, and his performance has narrowly won the Raiders while showing why he deserves to be paid as one of the best linebackers in the league.
