JACKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Wildlife Federation continues to connect residents with the outdoors through hands-on hunting and fishing workshops.
Thirteen workshops are scheduled across the state for the remainder of 2023, including four workshops located here in West Tennessee.
Ideal for becoming a self-reliant hunter or angler, the workshops are designed to provide participants with basic skills. The workshops address challenges such as rules and regulations, access to land, and finding resources through the outside community.
“With so many opportunities in the state, we want to empower our participants with the confidence needed to explore any outdoor activity they are interested in,” says Jeb Beasley, Director of the Hunting and Fishing Academy. “Once they have that first positive experience, we hope it translates into a lifelong passion.”
The workshops are part of the Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s Hunting and Fishing Academy, which provides opportunities for Tennesseans to expand their knowledge and passion for the outdoors, a news release said.
Additionally, the Hunting and Fishing Academy is also offering free virtual classes for those looking to learn new skills. Click here for more information.
