Georgia House Committee passes hunting rights bill |  News

A state House committee narrowly approved legislation guaranteeing Georgians the right to fish on navigable rivers and streams, over the objections of representatives of recreational boating interests who complained that the bill was too restrictive.

House Bill 1172, which passed the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday by just one vote, is a follow-up to legislation passed by the General Assembly on the final day of last year’s session.
