George HW Bush Vamos A Pescar™ Education Fund Awarded to 12 Programs – Fishing Tackle Retailer

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF) today announced its 2024 grant recipients for George H. W. Bush. Let’s Go Fishing™ Education Fund, the ninth round of grants since its launch in 2014. The funding will help 12 programs in 6 states bring fishing, boating and conservation education experiences to Hispanic families. More than $85,100 in grants were awarded, with state agencies matching that entire amount bringing total funding to approximately $172,800 for 2024 grant recipients.

“Participation in fishing among Hispanics has increased over the years, reaching an all-time high last year,” said Dave Chanda, president and CEO of RBFF. “As we work to foster greater participation within the Hispanic community in fishing and boating, these grantees will be critical in teaching many families how to enjoy the activities safely and with conservation practices at the forefront of considerations.”

Grants were awarded to 6 government agencies to provide subgrants to the following 12 local organizations:

Bush, to provide conservation education and fishing experiences to Hispanic families in major Texas metro areas. And Florida. . With continued funding support from Bass Pro Shops and donations from other companies, the Education Fund has expanded nationally to educate and engage Hispanic and multicultural audiences across the United States in fishing and boating with support from the Vamos A Pescar™ Hispanic Outreach Initiative Affiliated with the RBFF.
