LAS VEGAS, Nevada, Sept. 06, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — From the commercial drone show floor, Vivien Herrard Dubroy, CEO of mdGroup (GeoCue’s parent company) gives a presentation. A new TrueView 680 LiDAR and 3D imaging payload attached to a heavy-payload drone landed in the test area to collect aerial data for GeoCue headquarters. A drone pilot approaches the system, quickly removes the sensor from its quickspot, and hands it to a colleague. Within 15 minutes Securely in place on the small SUV, the TrueView 680 is now ready for the task of mobile mapping.
According to Frank Darmaian, CEO of GeoCue, “In every meeting, event, and call we had, customers seemed to be telling us that they wanted to buy a single LiDAR system that could also work on both aerial and mobile ground projects. They wanted easy-to-use software for data processing and visualization. Our team has risen to the challenge to provide unique, dual-purpose LiDAR systems for drone and mobile mapping, with the entire TrueView 600 series, as well as the TrueView 535.
Darmayan added, “Whether the project requires an aerial viewfinder, a mobile ground viewfinder, or both, the TrueView 680 and 680LR provide the complete package. Both systems integrate Riegl LiDAR technology, with a 360-degree field of view for virtually unrestricted data acquisition. These provide The systems are unparalleled accuracy and precision, whether on land or in the air.
As part of the mobile mapping integration, the mobile mounting kit provides an enclosed system that protects the sensor from dust and debris. The system can also be configured with an optional Ladybug 360° camera and a telemetry tool (specific to the DMI wheel) that helps maintain course accuracy when the GNSS system is disturbed.
In addition to TrueView 680, an optional upgrade to TrueView 655/660 and TrueView 535 is also available to enable dual-purpose aerial and mobile LiDAR mapping.
“We are constantly working on aligning our products with customer needs. In addition to the newly released mobile mapping capability, we are also pleased to announce the new TrueView 625. This system is based on the Riegl mini-VUX 1, and similar to the TrueView 655/660, it packs triple cameras…all while hitting the sweet spot in terms of price and performance. It’s already garnered a great deal of interest from our customers, who say it fills an important niche.Best of all, all Series payloads TrueView 600 compliant with NDAA.
“We offer integrated solutions for our customers and merchants,” said Vincent Legrand, Vice President of Sales. “Our expertise in integrating hardware, software, workflow, training and support from a single company is a unique advantage we can offer, and we are excited about the growth that comes with that.”
