Elon Musk has now come out to address the allegations made by the report and has denied all the allegations and concerns raised by the top management of Tesla and SpaceX. Musk, who also owns the social media platform X, said not even trace amounts of drugs have been found in his system in the past.
The Tesla founder said no drugs were ever detected in his system over three years of random drug tests, in response to a tweet on X. It comes after the Wall Street Journal published a report claiming people had noticed Musk using drugs.
Musk’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, responded The Wall Street Journal report, and said the article was reporting “false facts.” Musk has been drug tested in the past, when he was seen smoking marijuana on Joe Rogan’s podcast in 2018, Spiro said.
After clips of Musk smoking marijuana sparked controversy, the billionaire downplayed the importance of the incident by saying he only took “one puff.” He also told his biographer Walter Isaacson that he “didn’t really like doing illegal things.”
Spiro said that since Rogan’s podcast in 2018, not even a trace of these substances has been found in Musk’s drug tests. The SpaceX founder has admitted in the past to taking ketamine, a medication used to treat depression.
