The Volunteer Aquatic Instructor Program is hosted in collaboration with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation (LWFF). LWFF was formed to provide a means for individuals and businesses to become partners with LDWF and the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission in the challenge of conserving Louisiana’s wildlife and fisheries resources.

The Volunteer Aquatic Instructor Program is funded by the Sport Fish Recovery Fund, a USFWS grant program that provides grant funds to states, the District of Columbia, and fish and wildlife agencies in insular areas for fisheries, boating access, and aquatic education projects.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is charged with managing and protecting Louisiana’s abundant natural resources. LDWF relies on license sales as its main funding source. Please help us protect your hunting and fishing heritage while preserving habitat, wildlife and aquatic resources by purchasing your license at www.wlf.la.gov.
