Dubai – Singer and rapper Badshah has become the first Indian artist to perform at Untold, the world’s No. 6 music festival. He says he is passionate about performing, and his dream was to represent Indian music and culture on the global map.

Untold, which was previously held in Europe, is set to make its Middle East debut as it is scheduled to take place in Dubai from February 15 to 18 at Expo City Dubai.

“I am very excited to collaborate with UNTOLD and I am very much looking forward to performing alongside some stellar artistes at their first edition in Dubai,” Badshah told IANS.

“It has always been my first dream to represent Indian music and culture on the global map, and I am grateful for opportunities like this. Let’s take India to the world!,” he added.

Promoters announced the addition of leading Indian rapper Badshah to the massive list of top-grossing international artists as one of the main stars on stage on the second day of the festival.

The 38-year-old music juggernaut will join an already stacked roster of standout talent, including the likes of Armin van Buuren, Bebe Rexha, Don Diablo, Ellie Goulding, Hardwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tiesto, G-Eazy, Psy and Hardwell. , Major Lazer Soundsystem, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Timmy Trumpet.

Famous music stars like Hot Since 82, Mahmut Orhan, Luciano, Sven Vath, Dubfire, Kasia, Arapu, Cezar, PAAX (Tulum), Nicole Modaber or Shimza, House Of Yanos, Persic, Andy C, Chase & Status, Masego and Freddie Gibbs, among others, is set to oversee other phases as well.

The event will include more than 70 thousand participants daily and will enjoy the magic of Untold, which annually hosts its dazzling flagship festival in Romania. Along with the music, festival-goers can enjoy a myriad of activities, from fashion villages filled with creative designers to delicious cuisine from more than 40 culinary vendors.

The festival will present a line-up of over 100 artists across five exciting stages presenting an eclectic mix of musical genres over four days. Each stage will present a distinct musical saga, from the Main Stage hosting international stars to the Galaxy Stage and techno pioneers.

The Chemistry Theater will enthrall with its eclectic mix of dubstep, drum & bass, rap, trap, hip-hop and urban music, while the Time Theater will offer an immersive journey through space and time. For those looking for a nostalgia escape, the Retro Fashion Stage will offer a trip down memory lane with classic pop, rock and disco classics.

To launch the inaugural chapter, the Untold team teamed up with Armin van Buuren on Burj Khalifa for not one but two world records: the highest performance on the tallest building on the planet and the largest LED screen used for display. (IANS)
